Independence Square

During the Orange Revolution in late 2004/early 2005, demonstrators filled Independence Square in Kiev, covering the walls of nearby buildings with political slogans and graffiti. All of the buildings have since been repainted but the pillars in front of the Post building in the center of the square have been preserved behind glass as a monument.
